It’s hard to believe that after all these years of waiting, we may actually see the fabled Apple tablet. I know that tablet computing has been around for the better part of a decade now, but in my opinion it’s been quite disappointing since its inception. At this year’s CES in Las Vegas, I saw a large resurgence of tablet PCs-mostly due to the new OSes available (Windows 7, Android). Unfortunately, I didn’t see anything that corrected the problem of interaction. Most resorted to using a stylus or a basic on-screen keyboard. The problem with the stylus is that their use is limited, it ties up one hand while in use, and they’re easy to lose. On-screen keyboards can be a little unwieldy to use on a screen larger that 5 inches. Many are hoping (myself included) that Apple has a solution to this. Whatever they’ve got in store, I’m definitely excited and can’t wait until the 27th.
